Autograph letter signed from Charles Lowndes, Shakespeare Memorial, Stratford on Avon, to P.T. Barnum, Bridgeport, Connecticut [manuscript], 1878 July 27.

Lowndes acknowledges receipt of Barnum's subscription to the Memorial. He will be dispatching a proof engraving of Gainsborough's portrait of David Garrick next week. With official receipt slip, also signed by Lowndes.
